Our curriculum and lesson planning provide clear opportunities for both pupil and and teacher to obtain and use information about progress towards learning goals. Our planning of lessons is sufficiently flexible to respond to initial and emerging ideas and skills. In addition we ensure that pupils understand their learning goals as well as how they will be assessed.
The assessment and feedback of progress is also planned robustly to ensure that all parties are fully aware of the academic performance of our pupils Our assessment tools and methods are both sensitive and constructive and take into account pupil motivation. Furthermore our teachers focus on pinpointing pupils' strengths and advise on how to develop them as well as being clear and constructive about any weaknesses and how they might be addressed.
