Support from Parents, Carers & Guardians

At Sterling Education we work in close partnership with parents, guardians and carers of our pupils.

Our strategy includes : Effective communication between Sterling Education and the home. Regular newsletters keep parents, guardians or carers informed of developments and events at the supplementary school. Working with parents at home to support their children's learning at home by monitoring homework on a regular basis. Providing advice and guidance sessions and progress review meetings with parents.

Assessment for Learning

Our curriculum and lesson planning provide clear opportunities for both pupil and and teacher to obtain and use information about progress towards learning goals. Our planning of lessons is sufficiently flexible to respond to initial and emerging ideas and skills. In addition we ensure that pupils understand their learning goals as well as how they will be assessed.
